21 Mar Day #80 *March 21, 2018* – You Never Received it? Well, You Never Asked For It
Oftentimes, we do not get what we want—not because we do not deserve it—but because we do not ask for it. We are not receiving the work environments, the great projects, the one-on-one meetings, the promotions, or the raises—and it is because we are not asking for them. For too long, we have been waiting for someone else to recognize our needs, read our minds, or to do the right thing to do. In turn, we carry around this disappointment and frustration when the thing we want never manifests. Try not to be sad or angry when you do not get what you want out of your career. You can change it. One of the easiest, yet most courageous actions that one can take to move their career forward and have all that they want is to (1) know what they want and desire and (2) ask for what they want and desire. Yes. Ask for it. Here is what I know for sure. Everything that you want is on the other side of a courageous conversation. That conversation can be with yourself, God, and others. Determine what you want from your career and overall life and make sure that the right people know ASAP. Go ahead. Ask for it.
Sending you Love & Light,
