Day #86 *March 27, 2018* – WARNING: Take This Advice At Your Own Risk!

Advice can be helpful. I use people as thought partners quite often. When advice is unhelpful is when it is mixed with the advice giver’s own fear, doubt, skepticism, worry and concern. That is the kind of advice that should come with the warning label—WARNING: Take This Advice At Your Own Risk! Have you ever allowed someone to diminish your dream due to their own fear-filled advice? They are not giving you bad to hurt you. To the contrary, they feel that they are giving you safe advice. They care for you and do not realize that their own advice is originating from a place of their own fear and doubt. They are putting doubt about their own limitations on you. Think of the co-worker who tries to talk you out of resigning. “This is a good company with good benefits,” they say. And when you move on to do greater things in your own life, and look back, you hear that the same person has been laid off. There’s at least one person in each of our lives who has told us that our dreams are unrealistic. With every leap of faith I’ve made in life, there have been countless people who have tried to warn me not to leap. You can almost feel the concerned energy. You can feel their anxiety. Because to them, if you leap and succeed, they will have to take stock of why their life isn’t progressing. Remember the concern, doubt, and worry is theirs. It is not yours. Take their advice at your own risk! You are amazing. You know your potential. You know that when there is a call on your life for something more amazing than what you see today that you must answer. Do amazing things in this lifetime! Your best life is waiting for you.

Sending you Love & Light,
