Day #71 *March 12, 2018* – Make Peace With Painful Past Opinions

Day #71 *March 12, 2018* – Make Peace With Painful Past Opinions

It is unfortunate when bad managers happen to good people. I find myself saying this often to clients who are ready to move on to a new position, or a new company.

The experience of working for a bad manager can unfortunately leave you feeling small, insignificant, invisible, stressed, anxious, doubtful, unworthy…and the list goes on and on. My heart goes out to anyone currently experiencing any of these feelings while at work.

Although a bad manager may have happened to you, you cannot carry that pain with you. When you move on, you have to make peace with those feelings. It only affects you, your well-being, and your future outlook on management to carry negative feelings about the past along with you. It does not affect the manager you left behind. So, there’s no point.

Remember that one person’s opinion about you cannot affect you when you already know who you are. Hold tightly to the person you know yourself to be and carry that with you. Never stop moving forward.

Sending you Love & Light,
Jenn,
