Day #120 | April 30, 2018 – Why Didn’t You Just Wake Me Up?

Day #120 | April 30, 2018 – Why Didn’t You Just Wake Me Up?

Two friends are working on a business. One is an owner; the other supports the business. Both must wake up the next morning, very early, to create a product for the client. The owner wakes up on time. He works diligently for hours ensuring that everything is exactly what it needs to be for the end product for the client. Finally, the friend awakens to the noise. He stumbles into the room with the owner. Still pulling it together, he apologizes and immediately kicks into gear, finding his place in the room. The owner doesn’t flinch. He continues to get things done. Finally, the friend looks at the owner and asks a question that’s been on his mind all morning, “Hey, why didn’t you just wake me up?” The owner stops everything he’s doing. He looks at his friend square in the eyes and says, “Because no one wakes me up in the morning.”  Now, that is a remarkable lesson. If you didn’t get the lesson in that story, I will share it with you plainly. There’s got to be a level of internal or innate desire to success and win in life. At the end of the day, you are the only person responsible for your success. This also means that you are the only person responsible for your failure. So many opportunities in life are missed because we are sleeping! No one is responsible for waking you up. Showing up is the first step to anything. Stop sleeping on your best life. Show up. Someone is waiting on your success.

Sending you Love & Light,
