01 May Day #121 | May 01, 2018 – Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity
You do not get to say that THEY are lucky or that THEIR circumstances allowed them to be more successful than you. You see, by saying that, it lets you off the hook. It lets you see yourself as a victim of your circumstances. Listen, successful people are no more and no less human than you. The difference is that they do the work. And trust me, that is the only difference. They have done the work to get where they are. They changed their mindset, took the risk, they practiced, they honed their skills—they prepared. And now this preparation met an open door of opportunity. But you call it luck, don’t you? You call them an overnight sensation, or an overnight success. But what you did not see is all of the dedication that went into who they are today. The good news is that you can have it too. You can have this luck that’s created by practice and preparation. It is yours for the taking. You just have to do more and stretch farther than you are today. And I that moment where you want to give up, double down on your efforts and keep going. Success may just be right around the corner for you!
Sending you Love & Light,
