Day 139 | You Are The Messenger; Your God-Given Talent Is The Message

Day 139 | You Are The Messenger; Your God-Given Talent Is The Message

Any talents that you have are a gift in which there are only two requirements of you in exchange for the gift. Requirement number one: be a good steward of your gift. Requirement number two: use your gift. Let’s track back to the first sentence about your gift first. Many of you think that your gift (i.e., your talents) are because of you. You think that you created them! That way of thinking is why most people (probably yourself, included) feel so nervous, doubtful, and shy about their talents. They think that THEY are the driving force behind them. No sir. No ma’am. You are only the vessel through with the talent was given. You are the messenger. You are not the Message. Your talent is the Message and is a God-given gift. If you have a talent within you, it is because there is a purpose for your exact talent in this world and that purpose is far greater than the walls of your mind and body. So, follow requirement number one. Be a good steward of your talent. That means to take care of it, nurture it, and hone it. While this talent is in your care, it should be in the safest place in the world. And follow requirement number two. Use your talent. Every opportunity that you can find to use your talent—go for it! Use it outside of work and use it on your job. It doesn’t matter—just use it. You have a talent because the world needs it somehow. Just do not keep it to yourself.
