Day 148 | Time Is Up. Your Life Is Forcing You To Change!

Day 148 | Time Is Up. Your Life Is Forcing You To Change!

The situations in our lives that we perceive to be “bad” are just situations that are forcing us to broaden our perspective. Sometimes, these challenging situations are forcing us to even CHANGE our perspectives altogether. Our issue is that we often hold on so tightly to our old way of thinking that it leaves no room for new ideas and new ways of thinking about the same old situation. Holding tightly to an antiquated way of thinking is what causes pain. Correcting a distorted perception creates healing. If you release old frameworks, you will be left with an opportunity to open your mind and explore. So, by now, I am sure you are wondering what the hell am I talking about, right? Let’s put this into the perspective of your career. You believe that where you are today—doing what you do for a living, is all that could be possible for you, right? No one like you could ever be, do, or have more, you continuously think to yourself. And then one day you get fired or your work environment becomes so unbearable that you quit! You may think that the most devastating thing that could have ever happened to you—just happened. But in reality, here is what has actually happened. Life is calling you to be more, do more, and have more. Life is now thrusting you into a new way of thinking. And now you must think outside of the box to determine how someone like you—yes you—will get yourself back on track, but in a new way. Life is forcing you to take a look at your talents, your skills, and your abilities and put them into play in a career that best serves the person you were always meant to be. You can take this moment—this situation—as an opportunity to sink deeper into misery, or you can take it as an opportunity to really see what you are capable of. Life is forcing you to show up for yourself. So…let go of any preconceived notions of who you once thought you were, and simply show up for yourself. Start today.
