Day 157 | Do It First…And Then Feel Like It. That is the Secret.

Day 157 | Do It First…And Then Feel Like It. That is the Secret.

I rarely EVER naturally feel like doing most things, well…unless it is sitting outside on a beautiful day, slowly indulging in a Cold Stone Creamery’s Founders Favorite, LOVE IT (with an extra waffle cone crushed into it and half the brownie). Yes, I’m very particular about my ice cream! And I would be on time for that! But most other things, especially when it pertains to doing things that benefit my health, my family, my business, let’s just be honest –it take a LOT of motivation, inspiration, meditation and prayer to make myself get up and do it! But what I find is that once I’ve started, I then feel like it. It is not the other way around. I don’t wait until I feel like exercising, spending time with my kiddos, or setting up a business meeting. And that is my point. I’m a HIGHLY motivated person, but there are PLENTY of things that I actually have to just START doing…in order to feel like doing them. Sometimes, you have to be that person that is pushing YOU. You must be the person who counts down [5…4…3…2…1…0] and then launches out of bed like a rocket to start their day. You have to be the person who will care less about what they FEEL like doing in the moment and MORE about what needs to get done. Most people are not living their highest potential—not for lack of desire, but for lack of effort. You do not have to be that person. Have dominion over your efforts. Do not let your feelings about things become your block. Get up out of bed today and crush ALL of your daily priorities at work and in life! Do you feel like it? None of us do. But we get it DONE anyway. And the feeling that we experience at the end of the day goes beyond feeling like it. You experience accomplishment. And that is the blessing within the blessing.
