Day 163 | You Call It A Setback; I Call It Gaining Experience.

Day 163 | You Call It A Setback; I Call It Gaining Experience.

You must start all over again? It feels defeating. It feels discouraging. What a major emotional setback. Or at least that is probably what you think right now. You probably feel lower than low. So, you throw yourself a pity party. It is one of the most elaborate pity parties you have thrown so far! Some of you will throw a pity party for 24 hours, others for 24 days, many  for 24 months, and then we all know those folks who have been living the same pity party for the last 24 years. Imagine (now) where you would be if you had made a decision (the day after the setback) to release whatever negative narrative you made up about yourself due to the setback.  Setbacks are only here to help us course correct and to give us key knowledge on what NOT to do next time (or at least what TO do, but in a different way). So do not let a setback kick you out of the game. Keep going. And then one day, you will be moving along in your own journey to your highest potential and you will just KNOW the answer. You will just know the NEXT right move to make. And to those who are on the outside looking in, it will all seem so magical and you will seem like the smartest person on Earth. But in reality, the only reason you have this knowing within you was because of the experience gained through setbacks in your past. You’ve tried enough of the wrong way that you have been able to find certainty in the right way. And that, my friend, is what we call experience. Go get some experience. Be open to experience. Be grateful for experience. The best lives are built from the toughest experiences.
