Day 196 | You Do Not Own A Thing And It’s Okay.

Day 196 | You Do Not Own A Thing And It’s Okay.

You do not own a thing. We are quick to call things ours…our wife/husband, our car, our home, our career. That is why it can be so easy for us to take things for granted and so difficult for us to let things go. Through ownership and possession, we begin to feel that things are more permanent than what they actually are in reality.  We begin to feel that things are a part of us—and so if and when it goes, so too, does a part of who we are. In reality, you own nothing.  When things come to you to share and occupy the reality you live in, be a great steward of it. If it serves you, allow it into your space with love and gratitude and be a good steward of it. If it doesn’t serve you, allow it to exit your space with love and gratitude and be a good steward of the exit process. If it enters your space for a season and exits the next season, allow it to happen; you don’t own it and it is not a part of you.  This is what you call submitting to LIFE. We spend too much time clenching tightly and possessing things that were never meant to be our possession and we miss the opportunity to experience things that want to enter our reality. Have you ever considered that the [RELATIONSHIP, CAREER, OPPORTUNITY, etc.] of your dreams is waiting to enter your reality? But there is no room until you first release possession of what you think you own or what you thought your reality should have been. Know when it is time to say hello. Know when it is time to say goodbye, be a good steward of the experience. Life is sweet and amazing just the way it is.
