Day 198 | I Am NOT In The Mood!

Day 198 | I Am NOT In The Mood!

Some days it feels like you have the energy, drive, and motivation  to get things accomplished. Some days, you are just NOT in the mood. Aren’t those the days that we find ourselves procrastinating, getting back into bed, and putting off TODAY those things that can be done TOMORROW? It is so easy to fall into that trap. I am NOT in the mood shows you just how much your mood or your attitude contributes to your success. Zig Ziglar said, “your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” So, when you are not in the mood to do something, acknowledge your mood. Give yourself kudos for even being present enough to feel your current state of emotions. Then try and reframe your mindset. Tell yourself, even though you may not be in the mood, sometimes taking an action (any action) can put you in the mood. Or, tell yourself that although you may not be in the mood to do the entire act, maybe you are in the mood to do some of the action. Moods change constantly. But the time it takes for you to get your goals checked off of the list will continue to be the same if you are always waiting to be in a certain mood before you act. Who is at the realm? Is it you, or your mood. Reign control again. Your best life depends upon it. You’ve got this!
