Day 202 | Can You Handle Your MIND?

Day 202 | Can You Handle Your MIND?

One of my favorite Will Smith quotes says, “The question isn’t, ‘can you handle the situation,’ the question is, ‘can you handle your mind.’ Can you handle the thoughts and the emotions that are trying to poison your progress? Train your mind to sit calmly in the eye of the storm.” The thoughts running through your mind will cause you to jump ship, run away, and/or shut down when the ONLY action warranted at the time is to simply keep moving forward despite the thoughts running through your mind. Just keep moving forward in the direction of your own greatness. You must learn to control your thoughts rather than letting your thoughts control your next move. No, your thoughts are not trying to hurt you. They are trying to protect you from the “possibility” of being hurt. But recognize that your dreams are bigger than any possibility of hurt. Your mind is doing its job, but you must have dominion over those thoughts. Remember that. You have a goal to reach—no matter what. You are on path to having a great career and life. But the only way you will get there is by keeping your eyes set on the prize, not on the storm. You’ve come too far to turn back now. Replace your thoughts with ones that support your vision for your life. You can do it.
