Day 233 | Just Find Clarity, Insight, and a Bit of Organization

Day 233 | Just Find Clarity, Insight, and a Bit of Organization

Sometimes when we feel overwhelmed, it’s not because things around us are really that catastrophic. It is usually just because we don’t have a grasp on what’s truly happening in that one particular area. For example, being overwhelmed with your finances usually has something to do with not having a true grasp of what you really owe, to whom, and by when. So, our minds simply fill in the blank. We start to believe that we are in more of a dire situation than we truly are. Being overwhelmed when you come back into the office after being gone for an extended period of time is normal because you do not quite have a grasp on timelines, deliverables, and the current status of work. One more example? Feeling overwhelmed in a relationship? It’s probably because you don’t have a current grasp on what’s happening between the two of you, where it’s going, and what’s going to become of the relationship. The good thing is that by gaining clarity, insight, and a little bit of organization—many of our issues of overwhelm can be solved. The tough part is—it can take “carving out time” to gain clarity, insight, and actually organizing some things. Carve out the time to actually open your bills and look at the amount owed and due date. Take the time to FIRST find out the status of all of your work before nose diving in to your day to day responsibilities. Set aside some time in your relationship to really talk about what is missing. In the rush of the day, setting aside time can be hard. But there are times like these where you must do the work to win the prize. Are you ready to do the work? Ready to feel less overwhelmed? You deserve to be back on top of it all again. Trust me. It is worth it and so are you.
