Day #4: January 4, 2017 – Are You Discouraged?

Day #4: January 4, 2017 – Are You Discouraged?

“Discouraged worker” is an actual term describing those who want and are available to work, but have dropped out of the labor force because they believe there are no jobs for them. They would take a job if they could and would even already be working by now. Most discouraged workers are people of color, specifically black job seekers. Is this you? If so, here is what I will tell you. Do not give up on yourself. You were created to be better, do better, and have better. You were created to win and having a good job that contributes to your livelihood, your family, your home, and your community. Today is a good day to try again. Try again differently. Do what you’ve not been courageous enough to do in the past. When was the last time you visualized yourself winning and then took action?

Sincerely, Jenn
