Day 135 | Correct Your Perception Of Who You Believe You Are

Day 135 | Correct Your Perception Of Who You Believe You Are

At what point will you stop waiting for someone to see something in you? As a matter of fact, when will it be enough that you see something in you, regardless of what anyone may say or believe? Maybe your worth used to be predicated on someone else’s belief and affirmations of your potential, but now it must be about your own. If you remember nothing else I’ve said, keep this in mind. Every single person’s opinion of you is through the prism of their own life experience. A person sees you through the lens of their own environment or life’s circumstances. A person sees you through the lens of how they see themselves. No person has a clear picture of you—not even your mother, with all of her love, pride, and support. So why does their opinion affect you so much? Why does your boss’s opinion of you and your work affect so much of your livelihood. Yes, there is an essence in all feedback coming from your manager and there are important tokens to receive. But no opinion from another human being should reign so much control over you and your emotional well-being. So, how do you move through it? You heal. The book, A Course In Miracles, says that healing is the correction of a distorted perception. Healing is your ability to see things clearly. It is like putting on glasses for the first time. But what do you need to see clearly? You. You must see yourself clearly. To navigate through your manager’s opinion of you, or to navigate through anyone’s opinion of you, you MUST see YOU clearly. You must know your own value. You must remember and stand on the story that you are valuable, talented, knowledgeable, and enough. You must stand on the belief that you are enough, regardless of what anyone else says or believes. Correct your perception of who you believe you are and everyone else’s version of you will last. So be it. It is done.

Sending you Love and Light,
