Day #72 *March 13, 2018 – *Do You Know What You Want?

“I will take anything!” I hear this message frequently from job seekers willing to take any job just to be employed, or to get away from their current job. I can appreciate the openness to take anything, but the challenge with this mindset is that if you are willing to take anything—you will often receive anything. And odds are strong that the “anything” you receive will not be the type of job you really want. So, what do you want? Every great career path starts with the answer to this question. Do you know what you want? Consider, pray, visualize, and ponder the answer to this question. If you had things your way, what would you be doing for a living? What do you love doing? What are you great at doing? I repeat…what do you want? Start there. Give yourself permission to have desires again. Give yourself permission to desire a better life, better pay, a better career, a better work environment, and even a better manager. Don’t be willing to just take what life offers. You are worth more than that. Period.

Sending you Love & Light,
