Day #87 *March 28, 2018* – MAKE YOUR PAYCHECK WORTH IT!

Day #87 *March 28, 2018* – MAKE YOUR PAYCHECK WORTH IT!

Think about three things. #1) You are a high performer and everyone leans on your expertise at work. #2) You have to work around, overlook, and tolerate ignorance, unconscious biases, slights, and micro-aggressions—almost daily. #3) Each day you to go work, you sacrifice your time for a paycheck—voluntarily putting off things that are most fulfilling to you. So, now I ask you—Is Your Paycheck Worth It? I really, really want to know. Truthfully, some of us are the masters to our paycheck. We are highly compensated to be high performers, to tolerate a lot of nonsense, and to voluntarily sacrifice our time. But more of us are slaves to our paycheck. We earn nowhere near our worth and value.  Two things will never change: (1) no matter where you work and what type of role you have, there will always be something or someone that you will have to tolerate and (2) for as long as you are employed, you will always sacrifice time for your paycheck. Both are a given. So, if you are a high performer who is underpaid, it is time to make your paycheck worth it all. Be able to smile and say, “They pay me enough to deal with this!” Do not be passive about your earnings. Be intentional. Know your value. Set your boundaries. Make your paycheck worth it.

Sending you Love & Light,
Jenn,
